How Saša’a masks came to be

Saša began creating his masks while living in Japan in 2008. Inspired by the papers he used for an art installation, Saša saw masks as a natural progression of his evolving artwork. His masks, made from various materials, are often viewed as unreal post-production elements on models’ faces and are considered one of the earliest real-time facial filters in social media. Saša has worked with numerous photographers and has masked hundreds of individuals worldwide. His masks have been featured in music videos, fashion brand campaigns, and various magazine covers, including New York lifestyle magazine Hedonist.

Collaboration
Saša’s approach to collaborations is characterized by enthusiasm and a willingness to let the conversation shape the work. He values the input of others, allowing ideas to contribute to the final result in the most effective way. During the photography process, Saša takes a step back, granting photographers the freedom to express their own ideas and directions. As a result, each collaboration bears the unique outcome of everyone involved.
